Christian OutreachThe mission of the Outreach Ministry is to let the community know that no matter who you are, or where you are on life’s journey, you are welcome at Good Shepherd United Church of Christ!
Our most basic task in this mission is greeting everyone as they arrive for worship. If you’re a visitor, be assured that someone will be there to help you feel at home. Lots of friendly people will be happy to give you information about our church activities and the United Church of Christ so you can decide if we are the right church home for you.
We also reach out to the community in unique ways, like when we volunteer as ushers and ticket-takers for Carolina Rollergirls roller derby bouts. Our relationship with CRG is a Creative ministry, part of our 6Cs.
Outreach maintains the church website; check it out often if you want to keep up on what is happening at Good Shepherd UCC! Look for our annual Barbecue Dinner each spring, our Harvest Festival in the fall, and other events such as concerts. All of these activities connect us to the Community, which is one of our priorities in the 6Cs.
