Good Shepherd United Church of Christ

March 29, 2020 Worship

I look forward to us joining together once more for worship this Sunday! Our pastors and congregational care team leaders continue to be in touch with folks, but please be sure to let us know if you have any needs. Specifically, we do have an emergency fund available to folks who may be facing economic hardship. Please be in touch with me if these funds are needed to help you manage a loss of income in these days. We are in this together!

We welcome you to join us on-line for worship at 10:30am via Zoom.

A few notes:

The meeting will open and you are welcome to join us on-line at 10:20 if you want to make sure you are connected.

Please have a candle nearby to light at the beginning of the service.

If your video is on, we can see you. All the time, whatever you do. Just remember that 🙂

Most of the time participants will be muted. If you are not speaking, you should be muted and can do that yourself. There will be two points in the service where you will be able to click the “raise hand” function and be recognized to speak. Those are during prayers and reflections. For those on the phone only, you can “raise your hand” by pressing *9.

Though you may not be able to worship in-person with us right now, we value your continued support of GSUCC ministry. The preferred method is to send checks or direct bill pay to Good Shepherd United Church of Christ,1050 NW Maynard Rd., Cary, NC 27513. You may also access on-line giving HERE.

Grace and Peace,

Pastor Carla

All in-person worship and ministry activities at Good Shepherd UCC have been cancelled indefinitely, due to the importance of practicing social distancing in the wake of the COVID-19 epidemic.

Additionally, our Lenten Fellowship Meals with Covenant Christian Church and Cary First Christian Church have been cancelled in view of the present Coronavirus circumstances.

In the coming days and weeks in the Lenten season, we intend to “be the church” … seeking meaningful ways that we can continue to be one faith family. Please watch this space for future updates.

We will be especially intentional about the means we can undertake to remain together in Spirit during Palm Sunday, Holy Week, Easter and throughout the Lenten season.

Flowering Cross

Our prayers, thoughts and best wishes go out to all those affected by the Coronavirus epidemic close to home and around the world.  Please review this information from Pastor Carla and be sure to check this space frequently for more updates and information.

"Walk with justice, walk with mercy and with God's humble care ..." We end by singing this every week and it is seen in our members' actions not just our words.
