Ixcell’s Mother Is Here . . . . Thank God & Thank You!

We are thrilled to share the news that Dalia Perez, the mother of leukemia patient Ixcell Perez has successfully arrived here in the Triangle and has been reunited with her daughter. We thank God and all of you … the volunteers, the supporters, the prayer warriors and the people of good will at large who have worked together to call attention to this situation.

Thanks to the leadership of Solidarity Now and the collective efforts of many, U.S. Customs and Border Protection granted Dalia a humanitarian parole and permitted her to travel from Mexico to Raleigh-Durham, so that she may be with Ixcell during her medical treatments.

We encourage you to continue to share your prayers, best wishes and encouragement with Ixcell and her family –especially as Ixcell undergoes her next round of treatment at Duke University Hospital in Durham. Please feel free to send cards to Ixcell in Spanish c/o Good Shepherd UCC, 1050 NW Maynard Road, Cary, NC 27513.

"Walk with justice, walk with mercy and with God's humble care ..." We end by singing this every week and it is seen in our members' actions not just our words.
