Please Join Us For Lent & Easter
As we enter in to a time of repentance, reflection and action, Good Shepherd UCC welcomes you and your loved ones to be part of our lenten season activities.
We are enjoying a 5-week joint online book study of Jesus and the Disinherited, by Howard Thurman, with our friends from Cary First Christian and Covenant Christian. You can click here to register for this program. Weekly discussions begin at 7pm. At the end of each session, we will be joined by Rev. Dr. Luke Powery, Dean of Duke Chapel, and a Howard Thurman scholar to discuss the text.
Please watch this space for more activities and updates as we experience Lent and Easter together.

A few notes:
Please have a candle nearby to light at the beginning of the service.
If you wish to submit a prayer request for next week’s prayer list, you may do so by clicking here.
If your video is on, we can see you. All the time, whatever you do. Just remember that 🙂
Most of the time participants will be muted. If you are not speaking, you should be muted and can do that yourself. There will be two points in the service where you will be able to click the “raise hand” function and be recognized to speak. Those are during prayers and reflections. For those on the phone only, you can “raise your hand” by pressing *9. You may also share your prayers in the chat.
Please be aware that if you use both your phone and computer, it can sometimes create feedback which sounds like a high pitched tone or echoing. This support article from Zoom can help you set up your phone and computer so that it doesn’t create feedback.
Permission to stream the hymns in this service obtained from One License with license #A-715220.
Though you may not be able to worship in-person with us right now, we value your continued support of GSUCC ministry. The preferred method is to send checks or direct bill pay to Good Shepherd United Church of Christ,1050 NW Maynard Rd., Cary, NC 27513. You may also access on-line giving HERE.
I look forward to us joining together once more for worship this Sunday! Our pastors and congregational care team leaders continue to be in touch with folks, but please be sure to let us know if you have any needs. We are in this together!
Grace and Peace,
Pastor Carla
