Lauren Lippincott, Director of Faith Formation
Lauren Lippincott joined the family at Good Shepherd UCC in Cary, in 2021 in the role of Director of Faith Formation.
A native of Tennessee, Lauren moved to North Carolina in 2019. She is in seminary at Duke Divinity School and has a bachelor’s degree in Theology and Ministry with a focus on youth and children’s ministry. Lauren has a passion for helping to more fully integrate the faith of children and youth into the life of the church. She enjoys working with Good Shepherd’s children/youth and their families, participating in worship and social justice together and helping the church receive well and include the gifts of all its members, especially its young. Lauren is passionate about ensuring that all people are welcomed, included, and empowered in the church body!
Lauren and her husband Jesse have two cats named Nala and Sailor, and a beagle named Chance. She loves to garden and has a small garden at her house where she grows tomatoes, herbs, and peppers. Lauren also loves to cook and bake, and is always trying new recipes. Her favorite food is Nashville hot chicken (after living in Nashville for five years) and she enjoys discovering new local dining spots through out Cary and the greater Raleigh-Durham “Triangle” area.
In her role as Director of Faith Formation, Lauren is involved in GSUCC’s Children & Youth Ministries, and works closely with the church’s Christian Education Ministry, where she is an active participant in devising and overseeing curriculum and activities.
