Winter – Spring 2018
With the many days of freezing temperatures, we started the year off with a burst pipe in the sanctuary. The troops rallied, and we were able to avoid a catastrophic situation.
We had a dedication of the breezeway benches to Buss and Nell Sears, Mona Vance and Glen Aggerup. We honor the memory and life of Dr. Martin Luther King through the Community in the Heart of Christ group. We begin our Lenten season with a soup and bread supper on Ash Wednesday.
Warm weather in February encouraged our daffodils to pop up.
Our Community in the Heart of Christ group took a trip to Wilmington, to learn about the history of Wilmington from the African American viewpoint and about the 1898 Coup D’Etat.
